Michelle Cousins
Michelle completed her Master Massage Therapy training certification in Tempe, Arizona, at the Southwest Institute for Healing Arts in 2013, where she received training in both massage techniques and other holistic modalities. She also received her yoga teacher training at the Spirit of Yoga in Tempe,
Arizona in 2014. Michelle has taken a wide spectrum of additional trainings all across the United States, including aromatherapy, cranial sacral therapy, reflex integration, rhythmic movement, cold laser therapy, and kinesiotaping (level I & II), and attained her CST designation with the Upledger Institute in 2013. Michelle returned to Toronto and obtained her RMT in 2017. In keeping with her interest in nervous system function, fascia, and functional movement, and her commitment to ongoing training, she has received additional training in yin yoga, restorative yoga, as well as is a Graston Techniques specialist. Over the last several years, Michelle has worked primarily in rehabilitative settings with clients with complex healthcare needs, including moderate to severe neurological impairments and complex orthopaedic injuries. She has worked with a wide array of clients, including athletes, children, and seniors. Michelle offers massage treatments with a rehabilitative and therapeutic focus, and is committed to client education and empowerment through remedial exercise.
